Fear or Power

You have heard this famous quote.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
Franklin D. Roosevelt

Maybe you wondered how that could be true.  Here we are in another economic crisis that closely parallels the great depression.  Many people have lost their jobs and their homes to foreclosures.  Everyone knows someone who has one or both  of these things happen to them.

So those of you with jobs are being pushed to do more and more or face the fearful specter of losing your job and homes. Collectively, the fear of poverty has spread through the population like a contagious disease.

Corporations are holding onto more capital now than at any other time.  We are all waiting for someone else to go first.  We are waiting for someone else to believe it’s going to be all right.

FEAR stands for False Expectations Appearing Real

That’s right FALSE –Nine times out of 10 we are convincing ourselves that the worst case scenario is the most likely scenario.

If you follow Abraham-Hicks, you have heard them say what you focus on is drawn to you. If you expect trouble, it will arrive.  If you expect prosperity it too must arrive, that is the law.

Now that you know what fear stands for, let me tell you about power.

POWER–Positive Observations Will Enable Rewards

By noticing what is going right and and appreciating it, you now have refocused your mind on what it is you do want.  How your wanted circumstances will look.  How it will feel when things are getting better. What form hope will take.  The more you notice things getting better, the better and more hopeful they will get. I would rather use my energy to enable rewards than facilitate fear any day.

The choice is up to you.  Do you want to focus on FEAR or POWER?
